The Increase in Building Materials Is Affecting Pool Enclosures and Patio Enclosures

We are all aware that one of the residual effects of the pandemic has been a shortage of items and an increase in price for the attainable products.  We, at Tripod Aluminum, understand how frustrating this is!  It is frustrating for us, as well.  Why?  We want to build your pool enclosures and patio enclosures for you as much as you want us to finish building them!

Our hands are tied when it comes to our ability to get materials.  And, unfortunately, the cost of the materials is also out of our hands.  According to an article on www.masslive.com, the price of lumber and other building materials has nearly tripled in the last year, up 180%, according to the National Association of Home Builders.  To put that in perspective, according to the article, a sheet of plywood that sold for $26 last year is now selling for close to $80!  We want to keep our costs as low as possible, but as our building material costs increase, we must pass this increase on to our customers.  It doesn’t make you or us happy, but it is necessary.  We can’t stop being profitable or we will go out of business.  We have already seen this happen to too many local businesses in the U.S. over the past year and a half.  We assure you, we are doing everything we can to stay in business while keeping our customers as happy as possible.

But, I Had a Lower Quote Last Year

If you received an estimate a couple years ago and chose not to go through with your build at that point, then you were probably unpleasantly surprised when you received a new estimate.  Please know we are not increasing costs simply to increase our profit.  We are increasing prices to maintain our profit, just as you would have to do for your own business.
