How to Throw the Perfect Pool Party: Part 2

The days are getting shorter while the nights are growing longer. The sun is rising later and later each day as summer draws to a close. But don’t fret because there is still time to throw a pool party for the end of the summer. You can relax in your own backyard with all of your friends while the sun is high in the sky.

Here are some more helpful tips to help you throw the perfect pool party:

Games

Games are a fun and interactive way to help break the ice and bring some energy into the party. Have options for guests to choose from for both inside and outside of the pool. Playing Marco Polo, Sharks and Minnows, splash contests and handstand contests will bring out the competitive nature in your guests. Outside of the pool, you can play darts, horseshoes, and cornhole.

Sunscreen

Have extra towels, sunscreen and pool toys for your guests. Towels and sunscreen are often forgotten at home. Have a supply of sunscreen handy for your guests to use for reapplication after being in the sun for a few hours.

Music

Set the mood and get a playlist made of some music you think everyone would enjoy. Mix it up and have a nice blend of some laid back music with some more upbeat tunes. You can select songs to help others feel more comfortable in social interactions. Another option is asking a friend to DJ for your party.

Lights

Getting the right lights up for your party will bring a nice warm glow after the sun sets. As mentioned in the previous article, you can use tiki torches or string lights around the backyard if you don’t want to deal with fire. You can also use solar lanterns and hang them from trees and grab glow sticks. Hang out under the light of the moon while taking a dip in the pool and enjoying a nice glass of wine.

Picnic Style

Before your guests arrive, arrange the furniture outside for a picnic style eating. This can be another way for all of your guests to get to know one another over a meal. Line a few tables up together and decorate them with a colorful table runner and place settings to liven up the meal. Cut fresh flowers and place them on the table for an added touch.

Nobody likes getting bitten by mosquitoes; these unwanted insects can dampen the mood of your party in no time. Prepare for this by having a screened enclosure installed around your pool. At Tripod Aluminum we will be happy to install your pool enclosure in Viera, Florida before you have your end of summer pool party. Have fun and let us know if you need any help with any pool or patio enclosures in Brevard County.

Very happy with Tripod Aluminum's screen enclosure work. Despite Port Saint Lucie's extra permit needs for our 1984 home, they quickly resumed and finished the project to our great satisfaction.
