3 Reasons a Baby Guard Gate Is Right for Your Pool

We know that many residents here in Florida have pools. Why not? The weather is great so much of the year that you truly get your money’s worth out of owning a pool here! But, we bet that not all of you have a fence around your pool. We, at Tripod Aluminum, wanted to take this opportunity to share with you 3 reasons why our Baby Guard gate is right for your pool!

Reason #1 – You Have Children

Yes, we realize that with a name like Baby Guard gate, Reason #1 seems obvious which is why we are mentioning it! It would be weird if we didn’t, right? According to the Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida loses more children under the age of 5 to drowning than any other state. If you have a child in this age group or a child of ANY age that is not completely safe in the water, then you need to fence your pool!

Reason #2 – You Have Pets

You might be thinking, “So what? Lots of people have pets and pools.” That is true, but some people with pets would really benefit from having their pool fenced. If you have a water dog, such as a Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, or a Portuguese Water Dog to name a few, then you are no stranger to looking out the window and seeing your doggie taking a dip in the pool!

An Indialantic resident shared this: “We had our beloved Chocolate Lab for 13.5 years. It was not unusual to find him standing at the back door dripping wet, wondering why I wouldn’t let him in the house after he had taken a lap in the pool!”

You may want to keep your pup out of the pool for a number of reasons. If they shed and have long hair, then you may want to keep them out of the pool to help keep your pool filter running smoothly and not clogged with dog hair. If your pup is not a good swimmer, then you may want to fence the pool for their safety. This may also be true for elderly or blind pups. You don’t want them accidentally falling in the pool when you aren’t there to help them!

Reason #3 – You Want to Protect Others

Even if you don’t have children or pets, if you have neighbors or family members with small children or if you have elderly or disabled relatives that come to visit, then fencing your pool is an excellent idea. Falling into pools is easier than you think, and you don’t want anyone visiting your home to ever have this kind of dangerous accident. By fencing your pool, you know you are keeping people you care about safe while in your backyard.
